Great care is taken to protect and preserve the privacy of all my clients and any visitors to this website. This privacy policy sets out how I use and protect any information that you give to me, Penny Wilson, when using my services or visiting my website.

What I may collect and what I do with the information I gather

  • If you are a client of mine, I will store contact information and potentially other data about your business that you have shared with me to enable me to complete work for you.
  • Any information that you provide to me by filling in the contact form on this website. This data is used solely to respond to enquiries and where appropriate assist with improvements and training
  • Anonymous aggregate information relating to site usage to evaluate the performance of the website. This does not include any personally identifiable information. For further information about cookies, please scroll down.

How I store your data and how long it is kept

I use appropriate technologies to safeguard your digital data, and have rigorous security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

Digital customer data is retained securely until 24 months after our business relationship ends.

Any physical paperwork relating to existing clients is kept securely whilst you remain a client and for 24 months after our relationship ends, after which is shredded and destroyed.

Website contact form submissions are kept for no longer than six months, after which they are deleted.

Any data relating to financial accounts will be kept for as long as is necessary under UK law.

Sharing data

Where it is necessary for the delivery of the services purchased, I may disclose information about you to a subcontractors – eg printers and web developers. All subcontractors will be named and will have the required privacy policies in place to ensure that your data is never sold, passed on or otherwise distributed without your permission. Beyond this I will never pass on, sell or otherwise distribute contact data or any other data that my clients share with me.

I take the confidentiality of my clients very seriously and never share information between clients without their express permission.

In addition, I may disclose information about you:

  • where I am required to do so by law
  • in connection with any legal proceedings
  • in order to establish, exercise or defend my legal rights

NB, transmitting data over the internet is never completely secure, and I cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet. Any data you transmit to me is at your own risk. If you are sharing data of a sensitive nature with me, I would strongly recommend using an encryption service.
